CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Atlantic Attack is 2-0 at the Canadian Ringette Championships in Charlottetown.

The defending National Ringette League champs defeated the Manitoba Intact 7-2 Tuesday at MacLauchlan Arena after opening the eight-team tournament with an 8-4 win over the Edmonton Wam on Monday.

Moncton’s Jenny Snowdon had two goal and three assists to lead the way Tuesday. Meredith Tulloch, Britney Snowdon, Martine Cassie and Taylor Gray each had a goal and an assist. Jocelyne Landry rounded out the scoring for the Attack, which held quarter leads of 2-0, 3-1 and 6-2.

Madisson Gaudet had two assists while singles went to Stratford’s Ashley Hollis and Isabelle Cormier.

Josee Hurberdeau had a goal and an assist to pace Intact while Shannon Sarah added a goal while assists went to Brett Van Nieuw Amerongen and Nicole Desrosiers.

Nathalie Poirier earned the win while Ryann Bannerman took the loss.

The Attack returns to MacLauchlan Area tonight for a 5:30 p.m. game with Calgary Rath.

They play the Waterloo Wildfire Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Credit Union Place Arena and the Cambridge Turbos at 5:30 p.m.
