Three Island players and a coach will attend a national ringette camp later this month in Sherwood Park, Alta.
Montague’s Alexa Carpenter, Eldon’s Mia Martell and Brooklyn MacInnis of Souris were among the 68 athletes on the roster for the July 26-28 camp released Monday by Ringette Canada. Summerside’s Francois Caron is one of the eight assistant coaches taking part.

All four were part of the P.E.I. Wave squad that won silver at the national under-16 championship at Credit Union Place in Summerside in April.

La Relève U17 event is a three-day camp with pratices, games, classroom sessions and fitness testing. It also serves as an entry point into the high-performance pathway for ringette athletes, coaches and officials.
