McKenna, Spence have two-point games as Moncton defeats Saint John

MONCTON, N.B. – Summerside’s Jeremy McKenna scored twice and Cornwall’s Jordan Spence had two assists to help the Moncton Wildcats defeat the Saint John Sea Dogs 6-2 Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jakub Pelletier had a goal and three assists, Mike Cyr two goals and an assist while Kyle Foreman rounded out the scoring.

Francis Leclerc made 27 saves for the win while Mikhail Denisov allowed six goals on 35 shots in the loss.

The Wildcats, which held 2-1 and 6-1 period leads, improved to 22-9-2-0 while the Sea Dogs are 4-24-2-1 and in the basement of the 18-team league.
