McCarville, Lund fight off winds at Stanhope for win

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Mike McCarville and Jamie Lund battled through strong winds at Stanhope Golf and Country Club to each shoot a 77 and tied for the win at the recent Experience Hyundai Senior Men’s Golf Tour event.

McCarville and Lund won the overall day, two strokes ahead of Tony Perry (79) who won the senior division, and took the super senior division by three.

Roger Perreaux and Peter Clark, who each shot an 80, tied for second, followed by Frank Morrison, Joe Brown and Bill Arsenault, all with an 81 and tying for third.

Perry’s senior division win was followed by Randy Bernard (80) in second and Wade Gauthier, Dave MacLean and Thane Thomson, who all shot an 81 for three-way tie for third.

The Tour’s next stop is Monday. Sept. 24, at Eagles Glenn of Cavendish.
