MONCTON, N.B. – Rimouski Oceanic forward Carson MacKinnon of Summerside extended his point streak to seven games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Sunday.
MacKinnon earned an assist in the Oceanic’s 5-4 loss to the host Moncton Wildcats.
MacKinnon has registered 17 points, including seven goals, in 14 regular-season games.
Moncton rookie defenceman Jordan Spence of Cornwall also recorded an assist, and was selected the game’s third star.
Spence, who played with the Summerside Western Capitals' junior A team last season, has two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 13 regular-season games.
