SUMMERSIDE – Erik MacInnis was unbeatable for the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride on Sunday.
The veteran goaltender turned aside 39 shots, including 20 in the second period, in backstopping the Pride to a 1-0 victory over the Northern Moose in a New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League game at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus in Charlottetown.

Sam MacNeill’s seventh goal of the season 15 seconds into the contest stood up as the game-winner. Dylan Matthews and Noah Griffin earned assists as the Pride improved to 10-11-1 (won-lost-overtime losses).
Josh O’Neill faced 32 shots in goal for the Bathurst, N.B.-based Moose (1-22-1).
The Pride’s next game is Saturday, when arch-rival Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild (17-2-1) makes its final regular-season visit to MacLauchlan Arena. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m.
The Wild hosts the Moncton Flyers (17-1-1) in a game at Credit Union Centre in Kensington on Wednesday that will decide sole possession of first place. Both teams enter the 8 p.m. contest tied with 35 points.
