ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — It has been a busy 2018-19 school year on the volleyball court for Julie MacDonald.
The Grade 11 student played the power position for Evangeline School in the P.E.I. School Athletic Association Senior A Girls Volleyball League in the fall, and she also recently completed play in spring volleyball.
It is because of Julie’s commitment that she has been selected as Evangeline School’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month.
“Julie has been an asset to Evangeline sports since she came here in Grade 10,” said Evangeline School athletic director Jason Arsenault. “She has a great attitude, on and off the court, and is consistent serving.”
Arsenault goes on to say the 16-year-old daughter of Monette and Gerard MacDonald of Summerside is “very coachable” and praised her willingness to accept constructive criticism and direction from coaches.
Following graduation from high school, Julie plans to pursue a career in nursing.
