Logan Robbins wins Special Olympics speed skating gold for P.E.I.

DARTMOUTH, N.S. — Logan Robbins, in just his first year of speedskating, won all five of his races en route to a gold medal in division three (Special Olympics) at the inaugural Dartmouth Crossing sprints speedskating competition held recently in Dartmouth, N.S.

In other results, Zack O’Meara captured the bronze medal in division one, notching a new personal best time in the 1,500 metres and finishing second in the 200-metre sprint, while Anderson Arseneau had a new personal best in the division one 200 metres.

In division three, Jordan Koughan finished fourth in the 500 metres with a new personal best and in division four, Baiden Jack nabbed personal bests in two of three distances and placed fourth in division four. 

The one-day competition featured 83 skaters from seven Maritime clubs.
