Amy Graham scored twice in the third period as the St. Francis Xavier X-Women beat the Saint Mary’s Huskies 5-3 to capture the AUS women’s hockey championship on Thursday in Antigonish.

Lindsey Donovan, short-handed,  Kaya Brossard and Emerson Elliott also scored for the X-Women, ranked No. 5 in U Sports. Jamie Johnson made 35 saves for  St.F.X., who trailed 2-0 in the first period.

Miranda Hatt, Kiana Wilkinson and Caleigh Meraw replied for the U Sports No. 1 Huskies.

The X-Women advance to the national championship being hosted by the UPEI Panthers on March 12-15.
