CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Chandler Wood and Isaac Knox each had three-point nights as the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings defeated the A&S Scrap Metal Metros 4-1 Sunday in Island Junior Hockey League action.
Austin Callaghan, Jack DesRoches, Isaac Callaghan and Wood scored for the home side at the Evangeline Recreation Centre. Knox had three assists, Wood chipped in a pair, and a single was credited to Austin Callaghan.
Josh Dow from Ryan Boswall and Barrington Duffy replied for the visitors.
Stephan Giansante made 27 saves for the win while Noah Laybolt stopped 34 shots in the loss.
Western, which held 1-0 and 2-0 period leads, improved to a league-leading 21-2-0 while the third-place Metros (11-11-2) are two points back of the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers (13-9-0) for second place.
