SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals are back in action Thursday night.
The Capitals will travel to the Miramichi Civic Centre to take on the Miramichi Timberwolves in a clash between Eastlink North Division teams in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
The first-place Caps enter the game tied with the Eastlink South Division-leading South Shore Lumberjacks for top spot overall in the 12-league. The Caps and Lumberjacks are both 10-3-0 (won-lost-overtime losses).
The Timberwolves are 4-6-2.
Alec MacVicar, who is coming off a 29-save effort in Friday’s 5-3 road win over the Truro Bearcats (2-7-0), is expected to get the nod in goal for the Caps on Thursday.
This will be the second meeting of the regular season between the two teams. The Caps won the first head-to-head game 6-4 in Miramichi on Sept. 26.
The Caps will begin a five-game homestand at Eastlink Arena on Saturday against the Edmundston Blizzard (9-2-0).
