SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. —

The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals will not host the Yarmouth Mariners this weekend.

The two teams were scheduled to meet at Eastlink Arena on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) issued a media release Friday morning announcing the postponement of the games due to a continuing investigation by the Chief Public Health Office on Prince Edward island into a cluster of three cases of COVID-19 identified in the Summerside area.

The release noted an announcement will be made when these two games are rescheduled.
