CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The UPEI Panthers will be looking to avenge Friday’s 11-0 thumping tonight when they host the UNB Reds in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action.

Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at MacLauchlan Arena.

The Reds, coached by Bedeque’s Gardiner MacDougall, sit atop the conference with a 17-4 record while the Forbes MacPherson-coached Panthers (8-13) are fifth in the seven-team conference.

The Reds, who have won five straight games, are led offensively by Tyler Boland. The St. John’s, N.L., native has 37 points to sit one point ahead of former Charlottetown Islanders forward Mitchell Balmas, now with Saint Mary’s, for the conference scoring lead.

Morell’s Stephen Anderson has 21 points in 24 games for the Reds.

Kameron Kielly leads the Panthers with 29 points in 21 games while rookie Kyle Maksimovich has 26 in 21 games.

Samuel Harvey, who starred for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, has a 2.09 goals-against average (GAA) for the Reds while Simon Hofley has a 4.13 GAA and has been a workhorse for the Panthers due to injury to Matthew Mancina.
