ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Renee Gallant has been chosen as the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month at Evangeline School.

The 16-year-old daughter of Jean-Paul and Kathy Gallant of Cape-Egmont plays the power position in senior girls’ volleyball and competes in badminton singles and mixed doubles. Renee is also trying out for Team P.E.I.’s volleyball team for the Francophone Games in July 2020.

“Renee is a super strong athlete,” said Evangeline School athletic director Jason Arsenault. “She has an excellent work ethic, is motivated to improve and is dedicated and focused.
“Renee is a wonderful team player and always brings her A-game. She is always respectful and is very respected on the court.”

Renee’s plans following graduation from high school include pursuing a career in medicine. Her goal is to become a family doctor.
