SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Summerside’s Noah Dobson has his first NHL goal.

The New York Islanders defenceman, who turned 20 on Jan. 7, scored 2:40 into the second period of Tuesday’s game with the Detroit Red Wings. The goal made it 6-1 as the Islanders routed the Wings 8-2 in Uniondale, N.Y.

The six-foot-four, 184-pound Dobson has a goal and three assists for four points in his 18-game rookie season. The Islanders selected him 12th overall at the 2018 NHL draft.
