SOURIS, P.E.I. — The Kings County Kings used a four-goal second period to defeat the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack 6-2 Tuesday in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
It was the Kings second win of the season.
Thomas Sudsbury, Jarrett Victor and Jason Gormley each had a goal and an assist in the victory at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Souris. Jack MacKenzie, Alexander Dixon and Taylor Maguire also scored while Stewart Barry, Avery Reynolds, Ryan MacDonald, Dylan Blackett and Owen Gormley were each awarded an assist.
Darian Jameson had a goal and an assist for the Attack while Matt Power also scored. Owen Matheson had two helpers while Ethan MacDonald chipped in one.
Landon Patton earned the win while Keegan Duffy was tagged with the loss.
After a scoreless first period, the Kings scored three goals in the first 8:09 of the second period. The Attack responded with two goals about three minutes apart before Victor tallied on the power play to make it 4-2 heading to the third period.
The Kings went 1-for-7 on the power play while the Attack was 1-for-10. Kings County improved to 2-16-3 while the fourth-place Attack is 9-8-4 in the five-team circuit.
