CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Central Storm used a big second period to blank the Mid-Isle Wildcats 6-0 Saturday in P.E.I. Under-15 Girls Hockey League action at Simmons Sport Centre.

Petra Klimes, Carys Jelley and Abby Larkin each had a goal and an assist in the win. Grace London, Alyssa Perry and Renee Chapman also scored while Emily Gardiner had an assist.

Olivia Lowe made five stops for the shutout while Yiyi Peng faced 35 shots in the Wildcats' crease.

Central, which held 1-0 and 5-0 period leads, improved to 10-2-2 and sits atop the three-team league’s standings while second-place Mid-Isle is 4-7-4.
