Squires has five-point night as Central Attack defeats Mid-Isle

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Central Attack used a five-goal second period to blast the Mid-Isle Matrix 9-2 Saturday in Prince Edward Island Major Bantam AAA Hockey League action.

The first-place Attack held 2-1 and 7-1 period leads en route to improving to 15-6-0-0 while the Matrix (2-17-2-0) is last in the four-team circuit.

Cam Squires, Brennan Murphy and Nathan Mossey all scored twice at MacLauchlan Arena while Brett Arsenault, Landon Perry and Keegan Rush-Germaine chipped in singles.

Squires had three assists while Murphy, Jack Rowell and Will White all had two and singles went to Mossey, Arsenault, Jack MacKinnon and Victor Steele.

Michael Arsenault and Graysen LaPorte replied for Mid-Isle with assists to Seamus MacEachern, Andrew Thompson and Sam Bowness.

Ethan Clark earned the win while Tyler Rogers was tagged with the loss.

Mid-Isle went 1-for-6 on the power play while Central was 0-for-4.
