SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Summerside Intermediate School will host the Glenn Edison Memorial tip-off basketball tournament this weekend.
Play in the 43rd annual tip-off event begins Friday afternoon and continues through until the final games on Saturday at 3 p.m.
A total of 12 intermediate teams – six boys and six girls – will take part. The tournament features a round-robin format and each team will play three games.
Games will be played at both the Summerside Intermediate and Athena Consolidated School gymnasiums.
Participating girls’ teams are Summerside Intermediate, Hernewood, Birchwood, Queen Charlotte, East Wiltshire and Stonepark. On the boys’ side, Summerside Intermediate, Hernewood, Birchwood, Queen Charlotte, Athena and Stonepark will take to the floor.

4:30 p.m. – Boys: Hernewood vs. Queen Charlotte.
6 p.m. – Girls: Hernewood vs. Queen Charlotte.
7:30 p.m. – Boys: Summerside Intermediate vs. Birchwood.
At Athena:
3 p.m. – Girls: Hernewood vs. East Wiltshire.
4:30 p.m. – Boys: Athena vs. Birchwood.
6 p.m. – Girls: Birchwood vs. Stonepark.
