ALBERTON, P.E.I. — Keir Sheppard's goal with 6:39 remaining in regulation time lifted the Kings County Kings into a 6-6 tie with the Western Regals on Saturday night.

The P.E.I. Under-18 Male Hockey League game took place at the Jacques Cartier Arena.

Gabe Hartlen led the Kings with three goals and an assist. Sheppard (2-1) and Denver MacDonald (1-1) also scored for Kings County. Taylor Maguire (3), Aiden Banks (2) and Owen Gormley earned assists.

Sam Hackett's hat trick and two-assist effort led the Alberton-based Regals. Marshall Gallant (1-2), Kolby Baker (1-1) and Jake Reilly rounded out the scoring. Colby MacDonald (2), Michael McRae (2), Carson MacArthur and Cody McCormack drew helpers.

The Regals held period leads of 3-1 and 4-3.

 Goaltenders were Landon Patton (Kings) and Nylan Hustler (Regals).

The result left the Regals with a record of 2-5-2 (won-lost-tied). The Kings are 1-8-2.
