POWNAL, P.E.I. — Sam Worth scored the equalizer Monday with 3:54 remaining as the host Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils skated to a 2-2 tie with the Robin’s Mid-Isle Matrix.

Pownal (8-6-4) is four points up on Mid-Isle (6-6-4) for second place in the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League but has played two more games than the Matrix.

Will Mix gave the Matrix a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal in the first period Monday at the Pownal Sports Centre. Seth MacLeod tied it five minutes into the third on the power play before Jayden Murphy restored the visitors lead with 6:48 to play.

Murphy and Spencer Toole had assists for the Matrix while Holden Bradley had two for the Red Devils with singles going to Sam Parsons and Gavin Mason.

Noah Visser (Mid-Isle) and Caleb Drake (Pownal) were the goalies. Mid-Isle was 1-for-4 on the power play while Pownal was 1-for-6.
