CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Former Charlottetown Islanders captain Pierre-Olivier (P.O.) Joseph scored his first NHL goal on Saturday.
The 21-year-old defenceman from Chambly, Que., scored in the first period of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 4-3 loss to the New York Islanders. He also had a hit, a block and was a plus-2 while playing 22 minutes of the game.

Joseph, who played for Charlottetown from 2015-16 to December 2018, has a goal and four assists in seven games with the Penguins this season.
Summerside native Noah Dobson, also 21, had an assist in the game, giving him a goal and five helpers on the season.
