CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Cale Pierce set up four goals Wednesday to pace the A&S Scrap Metal Metros to a 7-3 victory over the Hynes Paving Maniacs in Island Junior Hockey League action.

Kayden MacLeod and Keegan Mitchell each scored two goals in the win at the Cody Banks Arena while Barrington Duffy, Dylan MacDonald and Noah Griffin rounded out the scoring. Hunter Bradley had two assists while singles went to Jason Poley, Grant Koughan, Nick Smith, Nick Steele, Dawson Palmer and Duffy.

Reid Peardon had a goal and an assist for the Maniacs while Tyson MacInnis and Elliott Parker also scored. Ben MacIsaac had two assists while singles went Jacob MacPhee and Jesse McGrath.

Noah Laybolt made 33 saves for the win while Nicolas Jamieson stopped 42 shots in the loss.

The Metros, who held 2-1 and 4-1 period leads, improved to 9-7-2 while the Maniacs are 1-16-0.
