PEAKES, P.E.I. — Jack MacKenzie had a walk-off single that scored Tyson McInnis from second to break a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Peakes Bombers a 7-6 win Sunday in Kings County Baseball League action.
The other top batters for the Bombers were Colin Myers 1-for-1 with three walks and a stolen base, Mitchell Power 2-for-3 with a walk and Daniel MacDonald 2-for-3 with a walk. Dillon Doucette was the winning pitcher in relief of MacKenzie, who went 6 2/3.
Dominique Ryan went 2-for-2 with two walks to lead the Athletics. Johnathan Arsenault was 2-for-5 with a stolen base while Grant Grady and Gabe Penalver both went 1-for-1.
Penalver was tagged with the loss in relief of starter Brady Arsenault, who went four innings, and Ethan Francis, who threw two innings.
