Bedford's Nate Darling signs two-way contract with Charlotte Hornets

Nate Darling signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets earlier this week.

Mitch Kupchak, the president of basketball pperations and general manager for the NBA team, made the announcement, but terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Hornets also signed guard Grant Riller, who was drafted 56th overall by the Hornets.

Darling, an undrafted free agent out of Delaware, averaged 21 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in 32 appearances for the Bluehens.

The six-foot-five Bedford guard was an All-CAA First Team after leading the conference in minutes per game, three-point field goals (107) and three-point field goal percentage (.399).

Darling is one of 20 players attending the Hornets’ training camp that opened with individual workouts on Tuesday. Group practices begin on Friday.
