ALBERTON, P.E.I. — The Alberton-based Western Regals picked up a win and a tie in P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League action over the weekend.

The Regals topped the Charlottetown-based Central Attack 8-2 on Saturday night and skated to a 2-2 draw with the host Kings County Kings on Friday evening.
The Regals took a 13-8-5 (won-lost-tied) record into Sunday’s home game against the Pownal Red Devils (11-11-4). The result of that game was unavailable at deadline time.

At the Jacques Cartier Arena in Alberton, Brett Ballum (2), Kalim DesRoches (1-2), Ethan Reilly (1-1), Jack Reilly (1-1), Sam Hackett, Chandler DesRoches and Rankin Noye scored for the Regals. Harper Richard and Liam Greenan each added two assists.
Owen Stewart and Matt Power answered for the Attack (12-9-4).
The Regals led 1-0 after the first period and scored six second-period goals to take a 7-2 lead into the dressing room after 40 minutes.
Nylan Hustler was the winning goaltender.

Regals 2 Kings 2
At the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Souris, Kalim DesRoches and Carson Wood provided goals for the Regals.
Jarrett Victor and Dylan Blackett countered for the Kings (2-17-7).
After a scoreless first period, the Regals took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.
Hustler was between the pipes for the Regals while Landon Patton and Drew Champion shared the goaltending duties for Kings County.
