ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The UPEI Panthers lost 85-72 to the Memorial Sea-Hawks Saturday in St. John’s, N.L., to complete the Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball regular season.
The Panthers (3-17) lost eight straight games to finish the season in the basement of the eight-team conference and miss the playoffs for the fourth straight year.
Nathan Barker had 20 points to pace Memorial’s attack while Cole Long scored 19 points and hauled in 14 rebounds.
Rookie Glen Cox had team highs of 16 points and eight rebounds for UPEI while Emmanuel Ndatuje scored 12 points.
Memorial held quarter leads of 26-18, 51-31 and 72-53.
