MONCTON, N.B. — Summerside’s Jeremy McKenna had two goals and two assists Wednesday as the Moncton Wildcats defeat the Rimouski Oceanic 4-3 in overtime.

It was a matchup of two of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s top teams.

Cornwall’s Jordan Spence scored a power-play goal for the host Wildcats while captain Jakob Pelletier had a goal and an assist.

Dmitry Zavgorodniy scored twice for Rimouski while Cedric Pare had a goal and an assist and captain Alexis Lafreniere had two helpers.

Olivier Rodrigue had 30 saves in the win while Colten Ellis stopped 22 shots in the loss.

Rimouski, which held 1-0 and 2-1 period leads, went 2-for-5 on the power play while Moncton was 1-for-2.

The Wildcats improved to 42-12-1-0 while the Oceanic is 35-14-4-4.
