MONCTON, N.B. — The Moncton Magic jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 40-point victory over the Island Storm Saturday in National Basketball League of Canada action.

The host Magic held 36-14, 58-37 and 96-56 quarter leads en route to a 120-80 vicotry.

Corey Allmond had a game-high 25 points to pace the home side, which had eight players scored 10 or more points. Billy White had 17 points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks while Denzell Taylor chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds off the bench.

Lewis Diankulu had 14 points off the bench to lead the Storm while Antwon Lillard had 13 points and nine rebounds.

The first-place Magic improved to 13-4 while the Storm is 6-11. The teams play Monday at 2 p.m. at the Eastlink Centre.
