POWNAL, P.E.I. — The Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils used a four-goal second period to defeat the Kings County Kings 6-1 Monday in P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League action.

The game was tied 1-1 after one period at the Pownal Sports Centre, but Gavin Mason scored on a power play 2:10 into the middle stanza and Holden Bradley made it 3-1 about a minute later.

Seth MacLeod had a goal and three assists to lead the Red Devils while Bradley and Mason each added an assist for two-point nights. Nathan Campbell, Lance Kennedy and James Wood also scored in the victory.

Tristan Lea and Sam Parsons each had a pair of helpers while singles went to Aidan Arsenault, Cameron Walsh and John-Thomas Wood.

Gabe Hartlen from Taylor Maguire and Ryan Steadman accounted for the Kings’ goal.

Caleb Drake earned the win while Landon Patton took the loss.

The teams combined for 97 minutes in penalties with 81 coming in the third period.

Pownal improved to a league-leading 4-1-2 while Kings County is 1-3-1.
