CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — John MacKinnon’s power-play goal with 10:14 remaining in the third period lifted the Central Attack into a 4-4 tie with the Western Regals at the Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown on Thursday night.

The teams were tied 1-1 after the opening period and 3-3 following 40 minutes in the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League game.

Tyler MacKinnon (1-1), Damiyan Boyle and Josh Lund accounted for the other goals for the first-place Attack, who sits at 9-2-5 (won-lost-tied). Nik Reeves, Ben Watts and Tyler Worth drew assists.

Sam Hackett (2), Rankin Noye and Marshall Gallant countered for the Alberton-based Regals (5-6-4). Colby MacDonald (2), Koby Baker, Cole Hemphill and Carson MacArthur chipped in with helpers.

The goaltenders were Keegan Duffy (Attack) and Nylan Hustler (Regals).

League play resumes Friday as the Kings County Kings (1-9-3) travel to the APM Centre in Cornwall to visit the Mid-Isle Matrix (6-6-4) at 7:40 p.m. The Kings head to the Jacques Cartier Arena in Alberton on Saturday to take on the Regals at 7:30 p.m.
