BATHURST, N.B. — Four players from Prince County played key roles in helping their respective teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Friday night.

Summerside native and forward Bennett MacArthur scored the winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout to lift the host Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 7-6 victory over the Halifax Mooseheads.

Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman and assistant captain Charlie DesRoches, of Days Corner, contributed four points – two goals and two assists – in a 9-4 victory over the visiting Moncton Wildcats. DesRoches, who is averaging a point a game with two goals and 11 assists in 13 regular-season contests, was named the game’s second star.

MacArthur also scored in regulation time for the Titan. In 13 regular-season games, he has seven goals and three assists for 10 points.

Chad Arsenault of St-Rafael earned the goaltending win for Acadie-Bathurst. Arsenault stopped 28 of 34 shots during regulation time and overtime and was beaten twice on four shootout attempts.

Arsenault, who signed with the Titan for the remainder of the season earlier this week, improved to 6-4 (won-lost). His goals-against average is 3.41 and he has a save percentage of .907.
