Kensington Wild shuts out Moose 5-0

BATHURST, N.B. — Sam MacNeill had a three-point night and Josh Smith a 26-save shutout Saturday as the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild defeated the Northern Moose 5-0.

Austin Arsenault and Dixon MacLeod had a goal and an assist in the New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League contest in Bathurst, N.B. MacNeill, Reid Peardon and Landon Clow also scored in the victory.

MacNeill had two assists while singles went to Matt McQuaid, Seth MacLeod, Crosby Andrews and Kalib Snow.

Samuel Landry stopped 30 shots in the loss.

Kensington held 1-0 and 2-0 period leads and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Northern was 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

The Wild improved to 9-4-2-0 while the Moose is 6-6-1-0.

The teams head to Moncton this week for the Monctonian with the Wild going in as the defending champs.
