KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild will open training camp at Credit Union Centre later this month.
The Wild, members of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Under-18 Hockey League, will hold registration and a players meeting on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m.
The Wild’s first on-ice session is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
“It will be a unique year for us,” said veteran Wild head coach Kyle Dunn.
“Normally, we have a lot of returning players and this year is different.
“We have lots of open spots as we had a lot of graduating players last year. It’s going to be a different-looking Kensington Wild team for sure.
“It’s wide open for tryouts this year. I anticipate big numbers and lots of intensity battling for positions.”
The cost for the camp is $200, and that guarantees players five ice times. The Wild is hoping to play an exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Players are asked to register before Sept. 15 by emailing [email protected]. Players need to include their name, age, position and team they played with last season.
Inquiries can be made by contact Wild owner Mike Gallant at 902-439-3565.
