Kensington Wild loses in overtime to Northern Moose

BATHURST, N.B. — Alex Trembley's second goal of the night was the overtime winner Thursday as the Northern Moose defeated the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild 6-5 in Bathurst, N.B.

Anthony Parent had two goals and two assists in the New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Hockey League victory. Marc-Andre Gaudet chipped in a goal and an assist while Owen Underhill also found the back of the net in the win.

Keiran Gallant had two goals and two assists to pace the Wild attack. He has 10 points in four games since returning to the Wild. The Covehead forward started the season with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Charlottetown Islanders but sustained a broken collarbone in early November.

Donovan Arsenault had a goal and two assists while Aiden Arsenault and Alex Graham also scored. Kalib Snow, Reid Peardon and Luke Garnhum each had an assist.

Pierre-Vincent Guignard stopped 34 shots for the win while Josh Smith had 34 saves in the loss.

The game was tied 2-2 after the first period and 5-5 heading to the third.

Kensington was 2-for-6 on the power play while Northern was 1-for-4.

The Moose improved to 14-18-4 while the Wild is 21-11-4. Kensington travels to Charlottetown tonight to play the Bulk Carriers Knights (11-18-6) at 7 p.m. at MacLauchlan Arena.
