DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Sophomore William Dufour had a goal and three assists Saturday to pace the host the Drummondville Voltigeurs to a 4-2 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders.

It was the Islanders third straight loss in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play and second of their current Quebec road trip.

They complete their final trip through Quebec during the regular season Sunday against the Shawinigan Cataractes. Puck drop is set for 5 p.m. Shawinigan has won both games since Stratford resident Gordie Dwyer took over as the team’s head coach.

Jeremy Lapointe, Jacob Dion and Thimo Nickl also scored in Saturday’s victory for Drummondville.

Nikita Alexandrov had both Islanders goals while Lukas Cormier had a pair of helpers and Cedric Desruisseaux added one assist against his former team.

Anthony Morrone stopped 22 shots for the win while Matthew Welsh made 31 saves in the loss in a battle of overage goalies.

After a scoreless first period, the Voltigeurs led 2-1 heading to the third. Drummondville went 1-for-3 on the power play while Charlottetown was 1-for-4.

Drummondville improved to 30-23-2-0 while Charlottetown is 27-24-5-0.
