CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Jack Howatt stopped 27 shots to backstop the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Knights to a 3-2 victory over the Fredericton Caps Saturday during New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League action at MacLauchlan Arena.

Jesse Blanchard, Gabe Hartlen and Max Chisholm scored for the Knights. Landon MacDonald had two assists while Harry Clements, Josh Lund and Simon Hughes each added one.

Andrew Gweon and Cody Gilbert scored for the Caps while goalie Blake Green made 23 saves.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period while the home side took a 3-1 advantage to the third.

Charlottetown improved to 3-5-2-0 while Fredericton dropped to 4-5-0-0.
