O'LEARY, P.E.I. — The Wellington Arsenault Bros. Flyers have taken over sole possession of first place in the West Prince Senior Hockey League.
The Flyers topped the O’Leary Maroons 7-4 before 500 fans at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre on Saturday night. The Flyers improved to 3-1 (won-lost) while the Maroons fell to 2-2. The Tignish Aces (2-2) and Alberton Regals (1-3) round out the four-team league.
Jake Arsenault and Owen Arsenault each scored twice to lead the Flyers. Single goals came off the sticks of Todd MacDougall, Colin Arsenault and Colton Gallant.
Jeff MacIsaac (2), Mike MacIsaac and Owen Smallman replied for the Maroons.
The Flyers held period leads of 3-0 and 4-2.
