CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Lukas Cormier had the winner Friday as the Charlottetown Islanders played their first overtime game of the season.

They defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3 in come-from-behind fashion during Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) play at the Eastlink Centre.

Halifax built a 2-0 lead seven minutes into the second period, but Charlottetown sniper Cédric Desruisseaux tallied on the power play six minutes later and captain Brett Budgell tied it three minutes into the final frame of regulation.

Casey and Desruisseaux each added two assists for three-point nights while Noah Laaouan, Budgell, Cormier and goalie Jacob Goobie each added one. Goobie made 25 saves for the win while Alexis Gravel stopped 29 shots in the loss.
