Cédric Desruisseaux had three assists, Bailey Peach chipped in pair while Sam Oliver added one.
Jason Horvath from Cole Foston replied for the home side.
Colten Ellis made 35 saves for the victory while Brady James stopped 33 shots in the loss.
Charlottetown went 1-for-1 on the power play and killed all three of Halifax’s chances with the man advantage.
The Islanders, who held 2-0 and 2-1 period leads, have won six straight game to improve to 14-2-0-0 while Halifax is 6-7-2-3. The teams meet Wednesday and Friday in Charlottetown.
