CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Matt Power’s goal midway through the third period was the winner as the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack defeated the Kings County Kings 5-4 Monday in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.

The Kings held 2-1 and 3-2 period leads, but Power scored the equalizer 22 seconds into the third and Owen Matheson gave the Attack the lead at 5:23 before Power made it 5-3 five minutes later.

Alexander Dixon got the Kings back within one with a power-play goal with seven minutes to play, but that was as close as the Kings would get.

Kyle Connell and Tyler Worth also scored in the victory at MacLauchlan Arena. Darian Jameson had two assists while singles went to Power, Matheson, Ethan MacDonald, Chris Koughan and John MacKinnon.

Keir Sheppard, Dylan Miller and Denver MacDonald also scored for the Kings. Ryan MacDonald had two assists while Craig Steadman and Jarrett Victor each added one.

Aiden Rose earned the win while Landon Patton took the loss.

Kings County went 1-for-4 on the power play while Central was 0-for-4. The Attack approved to 4-4-1 while the Kings are 0-5-3.
