O'LEARY, P.E.I. — The Prince County Warriors scored three goals in each period Friday to defeat the Mid-Isle Matrix 9-2 in Prince Edward Island Major Bantam AAA Hockey League action.

Carson Griffin and Clark Allain each had a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Warriors at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre.

Ethan Dickson scored twice while singles went to Matt Hackett, Patrick Shea, Noah Phillips, Beau Dawson and Lincoln Waugh. Aiden Arsenault chipped in two assists while Hackett had one.

Ryder Howatt had a goal and an assist for Mid-Isle while Graysen LaPorte had the other goal and Andrew Thompson chipped in a helper.

Cole Echlin earned the win. Tyler Rogers played the first 34 minutes while Kale Hunter played 26 minutes in relief.

The Warriors, who held 3-1 and 6-2 period leads, went 2-for-6 on the power play and killed Mid-Isle’s lone opportunity with the man advantage.

Prince County improved to 3-8-1-1 and sits three points up on Mid-Isle (2-11-1-0) for third place in the four-team circuit.
