Cape Breton Eagles call up Richard for game against Wildcats

MONCTON, N.B. —

The Cape Breton Eagles made a roster move prior to the team’s game against the Moncton Wildcats in Moncton on Friday.

The team called up forward Marc Richard from the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.

Richard, an 11th-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2018, has appeared in 28 games with the Western Capitals, recording six goals and 16 points along with 24 penalty minutes.

Prior to the game, the Charlottetown, P.E.I., product played in one Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game with Cape Breton last season.
