NORTH RUSTICO, P.E.I. — The Central Attack scored early and never looked back in Thursday night’s playoff game against the Mid-Isle Matrix in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League.
Finn Morris scored his first of three goals on the night in the game’s first minute and the Charlottetown-based Attack went on to a 9-0 win and a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinal series. Central will host Game 3 at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
At the North Star Arena in North Rustico, Brett Arsenault’s three-goal and two-assist performance led Central, which won the series opener 4-3 on Sunday. Cam Squires (1-1), Luke Coughlin (1-1) and Easton Fitzpatrick also found the back of the net while Nathan Mossey and Brennan Murphy each had two assists.
Ethan Clark recorded the shutout.
