CORNWALL, P.E.I. — Ty Arsenault and Sam Hackett led their respective teams to victory in the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League on Friday night.
Arsenault stopped all 38 shots he faced in backstopping the Mid-Isle Matrix to a 5-0 decision over the first-place Central Attack. Hackett scored a hat trick and added an assist for a four-point night in sparking the Western Regals to an 8-4 road win over the Kings County Kings.

At the APM Centre in Cornwall, the Matrix built period leads of 2-0 and 4-0.
Reese Wyand (2-1), Carson MacDougall, Will Mix and Spencer Toole scored for Mid-Isle, which improved to 6-6-3 (won-lost-tied). Myles Grant (2), Jacob Doucette, Gabe Taweel and Gage Taylor picked up assists.
Aiden Rose (17/21) and Keegan Duffy (9/10) split the goaltending duties for the Attack (9-2-4).
Regals 8 Kings 4
At the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Souris, Michael McRae (1-2), Carson Wood (1-2), Marshall Gallant (1-1), Garrett Culleton and Colby Perry also found the back of the net for the Regals (4-6-3). Kolby Baker, Carson MacArthur and Dawson Wallace collected assists.
Taylor Maguire (1-2), Gabe Hartlen, James Hennessey and Denver MacDonald replied for the Kings (1-9-3). Spencer Miller, Keir Sheppard, Craig Steadman, Alexander Dixon and Ryan Steadman chipped in with helpers.
The teams were tied 2-2 after the opening period, and the Regals took a 6-3 advantage into the second intermission.
The winning goaltender was Nylan Hustler. Landon Patton handled the goaltending duties for the Kings.
