CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Former Charlottetown Islanders left-winger Pascal Aquin scored his first AHL goal Wednesday.

He scored 3:15 into the first period as the host Rochester Americans defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-0.

The 22-year-old Le Gardeur, Que., native has a goal and two assists in eight games with the Americans this season after playing one game with them last season. He had 27 goals and 32 assists for 59 points and 81 penalty minutes in 68 games with the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones in 2018-19, his first year of pro hockey.

Aquin played two seasons with the Islanders, helping them make it to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League semifinal both years.
