Murray tosses
gem for Chevys

Cameron Murray registered nine strikeouts over seven innings in a complete-game shutout as the Summerside Township Team Two Chevys defeated the Sherwood-Parkdale Knights 9-0.
The P.E.I. Midget A Baseball League game took place at Memorial Field recently.
Tyler Gallant went 3-for-4, including a double, run scored and three runs batted in, to lead Summerside at the plate. Owen Dowling (2-3, run scored) and Colton Lowther (2-3) were the other top batters for the Chevys, who improved to 6-1 (won-lost).
Landon MacCallum (1-2, double), Colin Blanchard (1-2) and Nolan Deacon (1-2) were tops at the dish for the Knights.
Lucas Cotton took the loss for the Knights.

Cudmore’s hat trick
sparks Royals past United

Chloe Cudmore scored a hat trick to spark the Winsloe/Charlottetown Royals to a 3-2 victory over the Summerside United in a Subway P.E.I. Under-13 Girls Soccer League (Premier Division) game at Eric Johnston Field in Summerside on Wednesday evening.
Jorja Shield netted both Summerside goals.
The teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.

Bruce scores four goals to
lead Stratford past Kensington

Jane Bruce’s four-goal effort provided more than enough offence for Stratford recently.
Bruce scored all of her team’s goals in a 4-0 road win over host Kensington in a Subway P.E.I. Under-13 Girls Soccer League (First Division) contest at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School.
Stratford led 1-0 at halftime.
