KINKORA, P.E.I. — Clyde Gonzales has a passion for basketball.
As a result of this commitment, the shooting guard has been recognized as the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month at Kinkora Regional High School.
“Clyde was extremely dedicated this past basketball season,” said Blazers basketball coach Josh Watkins. “He has a strong work ethic and is very coachable.
“One of Clyde’s strongest attributes is also his ability to work with and raise the level of his fellow teammates.”
A Grade 12 student, Clyde is the 17-year-old son of Irene and Brando Gonzales of Borden-Carleton.
Clyde, who is a member of the grad executive, also played the striker position in senior boys’ soccer last fall.
Clyde’s future plans following graduation from high school include studying electrical at Holland College and he hopes to become an electrician.
