ROSEBANK – Multi-sport athlete Eryn Hustler has nabbed Westisle Composite High School’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month award for November.
The 17-year-old daughter of Paul and April Hustler of Miminegash was recognized for the award based on her dedication and commitment to her school’s powerlifting team. She recently placed second in her weight division at the first qualifying meet of the year.
Drive and determination
Eryn possesses great drive and determination, said her coach George Kinch. The Grade 11 student has trained every school day relentlessly, observed her coach.
A provincial team softball player, Eryn will be playing on her school’s softball team for a second season in the spring. She’s been on her school’s volleyball team for two years, and plans to compete in track for a second year.
This is Eryn’s first year on Westisle’s basketball and cross-country teams. Once she completes her high school education, she hopes to enroll in a dental hygienist program at Dalhousie University or Oulton College.
