MONCTON, N.B. – It looks like there may be a race for first place in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League after all.

The surging Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild handed the Moncton Flyers their first loss of the 2018-19 regular season on Saturday night. Ryan Richards, who also added an assist for a three-point night, and Lucas Parsons each scored two goals to lead the Wild to a 7-2 road win. Kensington, which has won six games in a row, 10 of its last 11 and earned 21 of a possible 22 points during that stretch, improved to 11-2-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), one point behind league-leading Moncton (12-1-0).
Saturday’s win capped a sweep of four consecutive road games for the Wild, including a 4-3 come-from-behind decision over the Fredericton Caps on Friday night.
